These studies prepare and train you to acquire the necessary skills to work in healthcare centers, provide care to patients/clients, or act on their environment and/or medical instruments as part of the healthcare team.

Competencies

The general competence of this technician is to provide auxiliary care to the patient/client and act on the sanitary conditions of their environment:

  • As a member of a nursing team in specialized care and primary healthcare centers, under the supervision of a nursing graduate or, if applicable,
  • As a member of a healthcare team in services derived from private practice, under the appropriate supervision.

Entry requirements

Candidates have direct access to the program if they meet any of the following requirements:

  • Holding a Graduation Certificate in Secondary Education (ESO)
  • Completing a specific course for access to mid-level vocational training
  • Holding a Technician or Auxiliary Technician diploma
  • Completing the second year of Unified and Polyvalent High School (BUP)
  • Having equivalent studies recognized for academic purposes
  • Passing the university entrance exam for students over 25 years old
  • Completing the mandatory modules of an Initial Professional Qualification Program (PQPI)
  • Holding a qualification that allows access to a higher vocational training program

Applicants who do not meet any of the above requirements must pass an entry exam. To take the exam, they must be at least 17 years old in the year of the test.
